i dropped this one off this week as a return. personally, i think his short stories don't truly represent the complexities of his amazing novels. you only get a hint of what he's capable of writing and if you are new to Murakami starting with a short story collection may not do the job of hooking. i still enjoy them though.

what i'm reading now

this book won a Pulitzer Prize and was recommended to me by one of my favorite book friends. so far so good. a slow start, or perhaps a busy mind getting into it. i think soon i will venture on down to the good old library and slip a note inside. i bought this one so there's no need to borrow it.

Cloud Atlas

I wanted to read this book..really i did. someone else reserved it though. so i am going to reserve it after them. then maybe i can finish it. i did slip a note in the book. we'll have to wait and see.

The first entry

One time i decided to put a sticky note in a really good book i got at the library. It was called "The Wild Sheep Chase". I asked the next reader to email me so we could talk about it. He did. We talked. It was fun. I'd like to have more of that fun. That's where you come in. Talk to me about books.
